Terry Lee Duckett, 66, of Denton, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at his residence.
Terry was born November 12, 1957, in Newberry, South Carolina, to the late Guy Jerome Duckett Jr. and the late Pearl Virginia Cox Duckett Helms. He was also preceded in death by his son, Chris Duckett; father, William R. Helms, Sr.; brother, William R. Helms, Jr.; and sister, Lorraine Eastridge.
Terry was a loving father and provider to his six children. He provided for them through his work in construction and carpentry. Terry was a man who believed in the power of prayer and was a prayer warrior for all those he loved. He was saved at College Park Baptist Church and was a faithful member of Mercy Baptist Church for many years. He enjoyed watching Westerns and old sitcoms. His life’s wish was to see all his children and grandchildren come to know Jesus as their personal Savior and to walk with him.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Allen Montgomery. Burial will follow at Plaza Road Baptist Church, 7115 The Plaza, Charlotte, NC.
Survivors include his beloved wife Donna Duckett; son, Jody Duckett; daughters, Holly Savage, Heather Steen, Heidi Helms, and Hayley Duckett; daughter-in-law, Monica Duckett; sons-in-law, Trey Savage and Curtis Helms; grandchildren, Justin, Josh, Jayden, Faith, Abbey, Tristen, Brayden, Gracelyn, Baby Duckett, Jacob, Riley, Hayden, Skylah, Emerie, Lily, C.J, Blake, Ty, Ashlyn, and Mason; great-grandchildren, Violet and Roman; and sisters, Guynita Hoseman and Sherry Wren.
