Terry Green

Terry Lynn Green, 57 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main in Charlotte.

Terry was born February 26, 1958 in Stanly County to the late Larry Casel Green and Betty Jean Thomas Green of Stanfield. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Perry Steven Green; maternal grandparents, William and Nelia Thomas; and paternal grandparents, Titus and Elma Green.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Dwight Mabry, will be at 3:00 pm on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 12568 Philadelphia Church Rd., Stanfield. He will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be gathering at the family home.

In addition to his mother, Betty Jean Green, he is survived by his daughter, Gina Lynn Green of Stanfield; son, Jody Green and wife Amber of Stanfield; grandson, Dakota Green of Stanfield; aunt, Hilda Smith and husband Elvin of Stanfield; and uncle, Morris Griffin of Stanfield.

Terry was a loving and wonderful son, father, and grandfather.
