Terry Lewis

Terry Wayne Lewis, 61, of Harrisburg, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018.

Terry was born April 29, 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Orbie Wayne Lewis and Nellie Jo Brazil.  In addition to his father, Terry was also preceded in death by his brother, Randy Lewis and dog, Pooky Bear.

Terry was a veteran of the United States Navy. He loved fishing, spending time with family and friends, trips to Cherokee with his wife, conspiracy theories, and “cheering” on the Arkansas Razorbacks. He will always be remembered for his generosity in helping others, his ability to provide laughter on demand, the sincerity in his words, and a bottomless love.  He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather.  Terry will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who knew him.

Survivors include beloved wife of 43 years, Kim Vanese Christian Lewis; son, Dustin Lewis; son, Derek and wife, Christina Lewis; daughter, Tifani and husband, Jeremy Poplawski; grandchildren, Ansley and Brinkley Lewis; mother, Nellie Jo and husband, John Burnett; brother, Jeff and wife, Tamara Lewis; brother, Scott and wife, Nellie Lewis; brother, Steve Burnett; sister, Sherry Ottis; sister, Sandy and husband, Paul Kretschmer; mother-in-law, June Troxell; father-in-law, Mike Troxell; brother-in-law, Chad Troxell; brother-in-law, Cary and wife, Terry Christian; brother-in-law, Cliff and wife, Holly Troxell; sister-in-law, Sue Troxell; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and all the kids he raised.  Terry loved all of them dearly.

A memorial service to celebrate Terry's life will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Harrisburg, officiated by Rev. Ray Helms.  Terry will be laid to rest with military honors at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, Little Rock, Arkansas.
