Terry Lowder

Terry William Lowder, 62 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at home in Albemarle surrounded by his family. Terry was born December 29, 1951 in North Carolina to the late Jessie Alexander Lowder and the late Ruby Furr. He was also preceded in death by sister, Bonnie Carpenter, and an aunt who raised him, Vera Helms. The family will receive friends from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm, Friday, January 17, 2014 at Prospect Baptist Church. The funeral service will be on Friday at 5:00 pm at the church officiated by Rev. Stoney Benfield, Rev. Buck Moore and Rev. Tony Thomas. Survivors include wife, Tracy Lowder of Albemarle, NC; son, Brian (Kathy) Lowder of Locust, NC, Brian's mother Renae Sides of Albemarle; son, Jessie Lowder of Albemarle, NC; son, Nicholas Lowder of Albemarle, NC; brother, Garry (Wanda) Lowder of Albemarle, NC; brother, Ronnie (Renee) Lowder of Albemarle, NC; sister, Patricia (Junior) Lowder of Albemarle, NC; brother, Mac McIntyre of Albemarle, NC; brother, Tim McIntyre of Albemarle, NC; sister, Debbie Burris of Albemarle, NC; special friends Wayne Talbert, Buck Moore, Terry Smith, Bongo Dennis. His career highlight was becoming a supervisor at American Fiber and Finishing. He loved cooking and wood working. He loved to spend time with his family, going to the mountains, picking cherries, and going to Walt Disney World. His greatest accomplishment was,"My children, and my family." Some things that he learned in life that he would like to pass on to his family: "live life to the fullest, you don't have but one time going around, so do things to make you happy, not someone else". He would like his family to remember him for trying. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Lowder family.
