Thaddeus Furr

Thaddeus Alexander Furr, age 95, of Albemarle, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The family will receive friends at Hartell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Wednesday, March 28, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. John Futterer. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Park. The family will meet at the Stony Mountain Vineyard, after the burial. Mr. Furr was born in Stanly County on January 29, 1917, to the late Prince Alexander Furr and the late Carrie Byrd Furr. He was also preceded in death by his wife in 1967, Mary Edna Hartnett Furr; a son, Jeffrey Martin Furr; a daughter, Sue Ann Furr; and three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by three sons, Alex Furr and his wife Sabrina, Ken Furr and his wife, Marie and Sonny Furr and his wife, Faye. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N.
