Thelma Alfred (Howell) Broome, age 86, of 168 Deal Street SE Concord, NC, formerly of 174 Deal Street SE died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at her home. Mrs.Broome was employed by Cabarrus County DSS as a Social Worker. The family meeting place will be at the home of her daughter Vivian Gibbs at 168 Deal Street, Concord.. Born in Cabarrus County on March 30, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Wade Alfred Howell and the late Maude Isabel (Fullum) Howell. She is survived by her Daughter-Vivian Gibbs of Concord, NC Daughter-Janice Leonard of Fayetteville, NC Brother-Jack Howell of Holden Beach, NC Sister-Margaret Casper of Concord, NC Sister-Maelene Andrewlavage of Salisbury, NC One grandchild Four great-grandchildren Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord, where the family will receive friends Wednesday, July 22, 2009 after the memorial service. A memorial service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel-Concord at 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2009 , Rev. Karen Kaser-Odor officiating.
