Thelma Deal

Mrs. Thelma "Edith" Hatley Deal 78 of Concord, NC passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the home of her granddaughter. Born on July 11, 1931 in Stanly County to the late Clester Lee Hatley and the late Pearl Blake Hatley, also preceded in death by her husband Ernest Eugene Deal, sisters, Donnie "Clessie" Crenshaw, and Mary Lou Bridges, and brother, Wayne Hatley. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Wednesday, December 02, 2009 from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM. Survived by: son, David Hatley and wife Susan of Concord; daughter, Myra Bost and husband Gene of Kannapolis; brother, Terry Hatley of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Trulie Corn of Kannapolis, Elaine Gordon of Richfield, Jeannie Harkey of Midland, and Vicky Smith of Stanfield; grandchildren, Susan Causey, Stephanie Hopper, Michael Hatley, Chad Bost, Ryan Bost, Samantha Boovy, Tim Tickle, and Josh Tickle; twelve great-grandchildren; and the love of her life, her dog Daisy. The family would all like to extend their appreciation to Edith’s granddaughter Susan Causey and her family for making Mom’s last days special.
