Thelma Hartsell

Thelma Thomas Hartsell, 85 years of age, previously of Bethel Church Rd. in Midland, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014.

Thelma was born on June 23, 1929 in Cabarrus County to the late Grover Cleveland Thomas and Minnie Herrin Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Earnest Hartsell.

The graveside service will be held at First Baptist Church of Locust on Thursday, September 18th at 1:30 pm, officiated by Rev. Dr. Kinney Wallace.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Smith and husband Randy of Locust; grandson, Ryan Whitley and wife Sunny of Stanfield, NC; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Alexis, and Ryan Whitley, all of Stanfield; and two step-great-grandchildren Jeremiah Gilliland, and Jarea Crisco.

Thelma worked as manager for the Corner Mart, and was a faithful member of Locust Baptist Church.
