Thelma Morrison

Thelma Brafford Morrison, 89, of Midland, NC, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011, at her home. Mrs. Morrison was born November 4, 1921, in Mecklenburg County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Parks Griffin Morrison; father, James Edward Brafford; mother, Florence Williams Brafford; and daughter, Brenda Morrison Eudy. The visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, with a 30 minute state, at Bethel United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Mark Clontz, assisted by Rev. Matthew Lawing, will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Survivors are daughters, Barbara Johnson and husband, Douglas, of Lenoir, and Sue Allmon and husband, Don, of Concord; sons, Jim Morrison and wife, Reba, Don Morrison and wife, Rae, Gaylen Morrison and wife, Kay, and Mike Morrison and wife, Shelia, all of Midland; sister, Mrs. Bill Glosson, of Midland; 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
