Thelma Smith

Thelma Brown Smith, 83, of Concord, NC, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010, at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis, NC. Mrs. Smith was born October 30, 1927, in Rowan County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Smith ; father, Rodell Brown; mother, Geneva Scott Brown; sisters, Ruby Cranford, Rose Eudy, Lorene Eudy, and Viola Cook; and brothers Clark and Earnest Brown. She was a retired sales clerk for Walmart and a member of New Hope Worship Center, Concord. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 13, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Allen Montgomery. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. Survivors include her sisters, Margie Furr Rich of Concord, Audrey Barnette of China Grove, and Carolyn Morrow of West Jefferson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver and friend, Jerre Finley.
