Thomas Case

Thomas Eugene Case, 74, of New London, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Atrium Health Stanly after several months of declining health.

Tom was born April 25, 1945 in Gaston County, NC to the late Carl Thomas Case and the late Phoebe Ellen Moore Case.

Tom enjoyed Bible study, hiking, carpentry, woodworking, electrical engineering, computers, music, and spending time with his grandchildren and at his home in the country.

Survivors include his daughter, Cassie Case Plott and her husband Brent of Concord NC; granddaughters Mary Plott and Sarah Plott of Concord NC; a brother, Rick Case, of Moreno Valley, CA; and many loving cousins and friends. He is also survived by Jeanette Kluttz Hartsock, to whom he was happily married for many years as they raised their daughter. He was the best dad anyone could ever wish for and his family brought him much joy and happiness.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Cabarrus Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Carol Carkin of Central United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
