Thomas Dabbs

Thomas Richard Dabbs, 75, of Concord, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Brian Center in Concord. Mr. Dabbs was born August 18, 1937 in Cabarrus County to the late Walter Dabbs and Dora McSwain Dabbs. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Tillie Maxine Brewer Dabbs in 1997; his sons, Jerry Wayne Dabbs and Tommy “Rick” Dabbs; his brother, Locke Junior Dabbs; and his sisters, Aileen Bostic and Betty Terry. The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 1:00 Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord officiated by Rev. Roy Dabbs. Burial will follow in West Concord Cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Randy and Jimmy Dabbs of Concord; his daughter, Sherry Fink of Concord; his brothers, Gene Dabbs of Concord, Pete Dabbs of Kings Mountain, Hoyle Dabbs of Kings Mountain and Rev. Roy Dabbs of Mississippi; his sisters, Brenda McLaughlin of Tenn., Pat Kenard of Miss., and Kathryn Yokley of N. C.; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Dabbs family.
