Thomas Flowe

Thomas Alexander Flowe, 58 years of age, of Midland, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at his home.

Tom was born January 5, 1959 in Cabarrus County to the late Arthur Osborne Flowe and the late Allie Frye Flowe.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service officiated by Pastor Rick Whittier will be at 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Arlington Baptist Church, 9801 Arlington Church Road, Charlotte, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Laura Flowe of Midland; daughters, Whitney Thomas and husband, Jeff of Oakboro, and Kelsey Flowe of Midland; son, James C. "Chad" Flowe of Huntersville; sisters, Ann Glosson and husband, Edd, and Becky Flowe; and brothers, Jimmy Flowe and wife, LuAnn, and Sammy Flowe and wife, Karen, all of Midland.

Tom believed the values of family and an agricultural heritage were intertwined and sought to create an environment that both sustained his children and instilled within them the values he held dear. He was exceptionally proud of his children. Tom was blessed to be part of a close-knit family, and mentioned frequently how grateful he was for the continual support and kindnesses shown by his sisters and brothers and their families throughout his life, especially as his health began to fail.
