Thomas Asbury Needham, III, 76 years of age, of Concord, NC went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 9, 2017.
Tom was born June 22, 1940 in Danville, VA to the late Thomas Asbury Needham Jr. and the late Helen Mae Needham.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Ann Boyles Needham; daughter, Jody Guyer and husband Ed; grandson Jeremy Needham and wife Ashley; son, Gene Needham; granddaughters Dana Gentle and husband Kevin; Cassie Thiem and husband Cory; as well as great granddaughter Kayla Gentle.
Tom proudly served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1963. He loved the Lord and adored his family. Tom will be dearly missed by his family, friends and church family.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord, officiated by Rev. Matthew Tucker of Gordon Heights Baptist Church. Burial will take place at 9:00 AM on Monday, March 13th at the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC with military honors.
