Thomas Mullis

Thomas Lathan “Bud” Mullis, 70, of Smith Grove Road, Oakboro, passed away December 11, 2009, at CMC Main, Charlotte. Mr. Mullis was born July 19, 1939, in Concord, NC, to the former William Hoyle, Sr. and Pantha Celo Baucom Mullis. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorthea Stroude and Christine Wensil He was a tire refinisher for Michelin in Norwood. Survivors include his wife, Doris Love Mullis; son, Aubrey W. Mullis of Oakboro; daughters, Lori A. Mullis of Ridgecrest and Jessica A. Lowery of Albemarle; brothers, William H. Mullis, Jr. of Midland and Melvin L. Mullis of Concord; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be Sunday, December 13, 6:00 – 8:00, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. All other times the family will be at the home. Funeral service will be Monday, December 14, at 2:00 p.m., at Red Cross Baptist Church, 112 W. Red Cross Road, Red Cross, with a 30 minute state. Rev. Gary Baker officiating.
