Thomas "Tommy" Church

Thomas "Tommy" Jefferson Church, Sr., 85, of Concord, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019.

Tommy was born April 17, 1934 in Grante Falls, NC to the late Shober Jefferson Church and the late Novella Pearl Jones Church Shoupe.  He was also preceded in death by daughter, Wendy Marie Church; son, Randolph Dewey Church; and brother, Paul Church.

Tommy was a Korean War Veteran of the United States Army.  He was proud to drive for the Colonel when he was stationed in Virginia Beach.  He enjoyed listening to gospel music and reading the Bible.  Tommy was very caring and he always helped those less fortunate.

Survivors include close friend and companion for over 30 years, Nancy Hagler; son, Thomas "Jeff" Jefferson Church, Jr. and wife, Debra; son, David Alan Church and wife, Andrea; Mark Anthony Church and wife, Tina; brother, Johnny Wyatt Church and wife, Carol; step-son, Charles Hagler, Jr. and wife, Sheryl; step-daughter, Audrey Jarrell and husband, Curtis; step-son, Terry Hagler and companion, Sharon; step-daughter, Lorrie Huffman; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC.
