Thurman Snider

Thurman Howard Snider, age 81, of Locust, NC passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast in Concord. Mr. Snider was born September 30, 1930 in Davidson County to the late Solomon Earl Snider and Lillian Shutt Snider. He was a veteran of the Korean War. The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Locust Presbyterian Cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Evageline Ruth Dockham Snider, of the home; his son, Jimmy Snider and Brigitte of Midland; his daughter, Janet James and her husband, Robert, of Locust; his grandchildren, Crystall, Robert, Meredith, Blake, and Gina; his brother, Leon Snider of Denton; his sisters, Vernelle Greene of Linwood and Alreta Hulin of Denton.
