Timothy Moss

Timothy Darren Moss, 55, of Oakboro, NC passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Tim was born October 11, 1965 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Timothy James Moss and Barbara Ann Moss Hagy.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Carolina Presbyterian Church, 406 Renee Ford Rd., Locust, NC. The funeral service to celebrate his life will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Patrick Womack, Rev. Trent Thomas and Rev. Cory D. Colravy.

In addition to his mother, Barbara (Chuck) Hagy, he is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Kristie Moss; daughter, Danielle Moss; brothers, Trent (Debbie) Moss and Fred (Angie) Moss; nieces and nephews, Delaney, Ryan, Wesley, Spencer, Logan, and Ashton; and parents-in-law, John Demaree and Cynthia Demaree.

Tim's first and foremost priority was his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis and attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He started his career with Sherwin-Williams Paint Company at age 16 and remained for 39 years. Tim was an avid fan of Indiana Hoosiers basketball and Dallas Cowboys football. Tim was also a tremendous athlete himself. He enjoyed football, basketball, golf, and earned a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo.
He was a faithful member of Carolina Presbyterian Church, where he enjoyed spending time volunteering and taught Sunday school. He also spearheaded the volunteer efforts at Carolina Christian School. Tim was a very loyal and honest man with an infectious sense of humor. His thriving enthusiasm and tenacious spirit brought people together. Tim was a friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.
