Viola A. Cook, 98, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Forrest Oaks Healthcare Center in Albemarle.
Mrs. Cook was born April 29, 1922 to the late George Adam and Lina Little Almond. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Cook; brother, Brady Almond; sisters, Vergie Barfield and Etta Lee Pickler.
Viola retired from Wiscassett Mills in Albemarle and was a life-long member of Poplin's Grove Baptist Church. She was involved in the Ladies Auxiliary and the local VFW.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020, at 11:00 am, at the Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.
Viola is survived by, son, Wm. C. "Butch" Cook and wife Dianne; granddaughters, Crystal Page and husband Jeff, Tiffany Cook and fiancé Tim Franklin; great-grandchildren, Nic Page, Drake Page, and Tanner Franklin.
