Tom Helms

Tom Helms, 83, formerly of Charlotte and Waxhaw, NC passed away at Terra Bella Senior Living in Harrisburg, NC. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Burgin Helms (d. March 3, 2023), his parents, and younger brothers Donald and Joe Helms. 

He leaves his daughter, Wanda Helms Grose (Chris), his son, Thomas Eugene Helms, Jr. (Allison), granddaughter, Lindsey Helms, grandson Kenneth Griffin (Betsy), and great-grandson Delcan Griffin; sisters Delores Dulin, Mary Edwards (Dave), and Geraldine Lefler, as well as 11 nieces and nephews that he was so proud to call family. 

Tom enjoyed nothing better than playing golf with great friends for many years at Pine Island Country Club. As per his wishes, there will not be a funeral service. He will be cremated and his ashes will be spread with Betty Jo's at a later date. The family wishes to thank everyone at Terra Bella Harrisburg, and all the Bayada and hospice nurses caring for him in his last months.
