Tommy Joe Allman, 87, of Concord, NC passed away Friday, December 25, 2020.
Tommy was born April 26, 1933 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late John Rufus Allman and the late Stella Lee Allman. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Talley Allman; brother, Robert "Bud" Allman; sister, Geraldine Eagle; niece, Brenda Gilmore; and grandson, Britton Blake.
Survivors include son, Ricky Blake and wife Joann of Mt. Pleasant, NC; son, Michael Blake and wife Jennifer of Mt. Pleasant, NC; son, Allen Blake of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Matthew Blake, Kristen Blake, Sara Blake, Nathan Blake and wife Valerie, and Jessica Blake; great grandchildren, Millie, Brooks, Alex, Aspen and Oakley.
In his early years, Tommy was a butcher for Cook's Packing Company in Concord and Eagles Red & White Supermarket in Mt. Pleasant, as well as a service attendant for Eagles Oil Company. Tommy proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired as a self-employed small engine repair mechanic. Tommy will be dearly missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A graveside funeral service with full military honors will follow at 2:00 pm at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens in Concord, officiated by Elder Tom Robinson of Mills Chapel Primitive Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mills Chapel P.B.C., Attn: Clerk Johnny Efird, 225 Old Rocky Rd., Rockwell, NC 28138.
