Toni Rakes

Toni Lee Chandler Rakes, 68, of Richfield, passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

Toni was born June 17, 1953 in Eden, North Carolina to the late Boyd Franklin Chandler and the late Virginia Mozelle Ayers Chandler.

Toni was the best wife and mother, her daughters were her best friends and she was the rock of the family. She loved camping with her husband and Lola at Myrtle Beach, and cherished Disney trips with her family. She loved watching her westerns and had a superior sense of humor and contagious laugh. She fiercely loved her grandchildren and was very proud of their accomplishments.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.

Survivors include loving husband of 48 years, Rudy Blaine Rakes of Richfield, NC; daughters, Lori Lee Rakes and Kelly (DJ) Luther; grandchildren, Virginia Lee Jones, Josie Blaine Luther, and Brad Wallace Luther; and her precious fur baby Lola Lee Rakes.
