Tony Lee Caulder

Tony Lee Caulder, 76, of Midland, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at home.

Tony was born September 10, 1948, in Edgecombe County, North Carolina to the late Harry Lee Caulder and the late Myrtle Iris Winstead Caulder. 

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm - 3:45 pm, Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Hopewell Baptist Church Legacy Chapel located at 420 Hopewell Church Rd. Monroe, NC. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm officiated by Pastor Dale Brooks. 

Tony was a very devout Christian who loved his wife and family dearly. He was very patriotic and served in the US Navy from August of 69' to August of 71'. Tony played basketball in Aurora High School and then went on to attend UNCW where he graduated with a bachelor's degree. After graduating, Tony went to work for the federal government as a federal investigator for over 30 years, from which he retired in 2009. He enjoyed being outdoors where he spent many good times camping and fishing. Tony was a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma and lost a kidney due to cancer. He then developed bone marrow cancer which led to his untimely demise but not without a hearty fight for over 6 years.

Survivors include wife, Janice May Caulder of Midland, NC; daughters, Kelli Antoinette Shook, Toni Leigh Caulder of Rock Hill, SC; sons, William J. Fisher of Little River, SC, Kevin D. Fisher of Indian Trail, NC; grandchildren, Rylee Grace McKee, Haylee Faith McKee, Natalee Eve Mckee, Piper Autumn Shook, Tony Asher Shook, Adalynn Kayler Fisher, and Brickston Emil Fisher; brother, Tim W. Caulder and wife Marsha of Belville, NC; and sister, Amy C. White and husband Clarence of Wilmington, NC.

Memorials may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital and Tunnels to Towers.
