Tony Little

Tony Allen Little, 65 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Tony was born March 16, 1950 in Cabarrus County to the late Carl Allen "Buck" Little of Locust and Margaret Geneva Hinson Love of Mt. Pleasant. He was the grandson of Jim and Lillie Hinson, and Ranzy and Pauline Little. He was also preceded in death by his uncle, Rodney Eric Little.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, Monday, May 4, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor Robert Lovette. Military honors will be conducted by the Stanly County DAV, Chapter 12.

In addition to his mother, Margaret Geneva Love, he is survived by his brother, Randy "Dale" Little and wife Jean of Midland; stepbrother, Darrell Love and wife Amy of Mt. Pleasant; three nieces; three nephews; eight great-nephews; and five great-nieces.

Tony honorably served his country in the United States Army. He served two tours in Vietnam, and was awarded the Purple Heart, The Bronze Star, and two Air Medals. Tony was a retired truck driver. He loved his dog Lizzy and working in his yard.

The family would like to thank his special family, Sherri, Dennett, Crystal, Tawanna, Kelly, Gina, Shannon, and Christina for their compassionate care.
