Troy Faggart

Troy William Faggart, 86, of Concord, NC passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Troy was born April 21, 1934 in Concord, North Carolina to the late Fred Oscar Faggart and the late Elthia Mae Isenhour Faggart.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Colleen Gray Faggart; sisters, Ruth Rebecca Faggart, Ruby Aldridge; brothers, Stacy Faggart, Ned Faggart and twin brother Roy Faggart.

Survivors include daughter, Janice F. Troutman; daughter, Judy F. James and husband David; sister, Helen Nesbit, all of Concord, NC.  Grandchildren, James R. Troutman and wife Jennifer; Derikk S. Troutman and wife Alesha; Andrew T. Christy; Misty Drake and husband Brandon; Joshua James; Robin Lane and husband Jonathan; and Cody James and wife Hannah.  Great grandchildren, Jimmy Troutman, Jacob Troutman, Troy Troutman, Will Troutman, Ava Mason, Joe Troutman, Kassidy Troutman, Rubie Mason, Kaylee Callison, Katelynn Drake, Colton Drake, Jackson Lane, Ryan Lane and Adam Lane; and one on the way in October; as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Troy was a past Master of Cabarrus Masonic Lodge #720.  He was a member of Malta Commandery No. 19, Knights Templar.  He was a former Scout Master of Troop 48.  Troy enjoyed mowing his property as well as his neighbor's yards.  He loved to garden and work in his saw mill.  Every day he could be found outside feeding his birds, deer, fox and even a hawk.  Mr. Faggart will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Daniel Wilson.  Burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County; or Boger's Chapel Food Pantry.
