Tyler Whitley

Tyler Scott Whitley, 32, of Oakboro, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at Autumn Care of Marshville.

Tyler was born November 29, 1986 in Mecklenburg County to Scottie Whitley and Leigh Ann Love.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ed Whitley; and two uncles Tim and Andy Whitley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, September 9, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 3:00 pm at Gleaning Mission Church in Oakboro and will be officiated by Rev. Steve Barbee. Burial will follow at the Oakboro Cemetery.

Survivors include four sons, Kyler 8 years old, Jayden 7 years old, Blake 7 years old, and Kashtyn 1 year old; mother, Leigh Ann Love of Oakboro; father, Scottie (Anne) Whitley of Midland; three sisters, Ashlee (Michael) Little of Oakboro, Hannah (Matt) Crisco of Oakboro, and Rebekah (Leon) Dennis of Midland; one nephew Trey; four nieces, Chaney Kate, Corbyn, Rayna, Teagan; paternal grandmothers, Dolores Whitley and Ethel "Gran" Seneca both of Midland; and maternal grandparents, Ann and Bill Dawson of Landis, NC.

Tyler loved life and his four boys and family. He would help anyone he could. He was always happy riding his mule, Revy and best dog, Dally by his side. He was a ferrier-welder-logger-concrete worker-plumber- mechanic-fix anything kind of guy. He had a contagious smile and dancing feet!
