Vanessa Buckles-Stewart

Vanessa Marie Buckles-Stewart, 49, of 3600 Cold Springs Road, Concord, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009 at CMC-Main in Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM, Sunday, December 6, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, December 7 in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. She was born May 6, 1960 in Cabarrus County to the late John Lefler and the late Emma Dulin Lefler. She was a graduate of Central Cabarrus High School and a mail carrier with over 20 years of service with the US Postal Service. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Ray Stewart; sons, Tony Buckles Jr. and wife, Felicia, and J. P. Buckles and wife, Brandi, all of Concord; daughter, Tabitha Buckles of Gold Hill; brother, Sam Morris of Concord; sisters, Patty Shaw of Asheboro and Laura Morris of Concord; grandchildren Eric, Jacob, Xander, Cory and Logan; 10 nieces and nephews; and 5 great nieces and nephews.
