Vanessa Morgan

Vanessa Carol Bolton Morgan, 63 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at CMC - NorthEast in Concord.

Vanessa was born September 19, 1952 in Mecklenburg County to the late Joseph Leonard Bolton and the late Sue Carol Hilton Bolton. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Paula Morgan; brother, Len Bolton; grandson, Jeffery Thompson; and special four-legged child, Scooter.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service to celebrate her life, officiated by Rev. Jody Wetta, will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 26, 2015 at Berea Baptist Church, 100 Berea Baptist Church Road, Stanfield. The burial will follow at Clarks Grove Primitive Church Cemetery, Hwy. 200, Stanfield. At other times, the family will be gathering at her home.

She is survived by her sons, Paul "Pete" Morgan and wife, Alicia of Richfield, and Michael Morgan and wife, Ann of Polkton; daughters, Melanie Thompson of Albemarle; brother, Frank Bolton of Stanfield; sisters, Vyky Brooks of Concord, and Jody Dull of Charlotte; stepmother, Kitty Bolton of Matthews, NC, grandsons, Stephen Thompson and wife, Amber of Stanfield, Landon Morgan of High Rock, Scott Morgan of Polkton, Keegan Morgan of High Rock, and Lucas Paul Morgan of High Rock; granddaughter, Brittany Morgan of Polkton, great-grandson, Austin Thompson of Stanfield; and her special four-legged child, Little Bit.

Vanessa was a beloved and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She loved her church family, her animals and enjoyed doing crafts.
