Veleta Swaringen

Veleta Elizabeth McSwain Swaringen, 90, of Albemarle, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 at The Lutheran Nursing Home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle prior to the service on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Delane Burris, will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Mrs. Swaringen was born on June 7, 1922, in Albemarle, to the late Price Reburl Troutman and the late Ida Carpenter Troutman. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Swaringen and her first husband, William Riley McSwain. She is survived by three daughters, Judy Hill and husband Robert of Albemarle, Becky Huneycutt and husband Gary of Norwood, and Robbie McSwain of Albemarle; a brother, Verdell Troutman of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Kellie DeMayo of Charlotte, Ross Huneycutt of Fuquay Varina, and Whitney Huneycutt of Cary; and six great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 644 Edgemont St. Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the family.
