Velinda Munson

Velinda Louise Munson, 67 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Velinda was born February 18, 1947 in North Carolina to John Henry Connell Jr. of Concord and the late Frances Louise Connell. She was also preceded in death by sister, Beverly Smith. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Broadus Memorial Baptist Church of Concord. The memorial service will follow in the church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Rodney Quesenberry officiating. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Harry E. Munson of the home; daughter, Michelle Munson and fiancé Randall of Jonas Ridge, NC; son, Mark Munson of the home; sister, Cindy Newell and husband, Frankie of Concord, NC; brother, Mike Connell and wife Gail of Fayetteville, NC; three nieces and one nephew. Velinda was a huge Christian in the Broadus Church family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Munson family.
