Vera Eudy

Vera Gilbert Eudy, 96 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at The Home Place.

Vera was born September 8, 1921 in Stanly County to the late Silas Valentine Gilbert and the late Eva Caroline Speights Gilbert.
She was also preceded in death by husband of 68 years, Hoyle Eugene Eudy; and daughter, Irene Armstrong.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service, officiated by Dwight Dennis, will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at the Smith's Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakboro.

Survivors include son, Jimmy (Brenda) Eudy of Stanley, NC; sister, Betty Edwards of Matthews; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dwight and Debbie Dennis for their loving care of our mother over the past eight years at The Home Place.
