Vera Helms

Vera Helms, Age 85 of 804 Efird Street, Albemarle, NC 28001, passed away on February 03, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Born in Stanly county NC on February 06, 1924 Vera Furr Helms was preceded in death by her father- Marshall Furr, her mother Rosa Jane Furr, her son Gerald Wayne Furr, and numerous brothers and sisters. She wass a Spinner with Albemarle Spinning and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church at: 1002 Wiscassett Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Funeral service will held on Friday,February 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Stanly Gardens of Memory, Hwy 24/27 Albemarle, NC with the ministers Rev. James Potts, Rev. Wayne Richardson officiating. There is no formal visitation, but friends may stop by the funeral home to pay their respects. The burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory Vera Furr Helms was survived by her spouse- John Helms of Albemarle NC, her daughters- Colean Boysworth and husband Danny of Albemarle NC, Carolyn Livengood and husband Benny of Salisbury NC, her sons- Terry Lowder and wife Tracy of Albemarle NC, Johnny Helms and wife Rita of Welcome NC, Jimmy and Phyllis of New London NC, Larry and wife Micki of FL, her sister- Nellie Huneycutt of New London NC, she is survived by numerous grand children and great grandchildren. She was a loving person and will be missed by her friends and relatives greatly. She was well loved by everyone who knew her.
