Verla Hopkins

Verla Mae Hopkins, 90, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Spring Arbor of Albemarle.

Verla was born March 3, 1931 in Union County to the late Lawrence Hill and the late Leavy Hill. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Boyd Hill and Clyde Hill.

The funeral service officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson will be at 11:00 AM, Friday September 24th, 2021 at the Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum.

Verla worked for 44 years and retired from Wiscassett Mills.

A special thanks to her caregivers Cindy Mauney and Shelia Rich, and special friend Ann Smith, as well as the staff of Spring Arbor and Hospice of Stanly County.
Survivors include husband of 72 years, Henry Elbert Hopkins; niece, Sharon Rhodes (Tim); and great nephews, Tyler and Michael Rhodes.
