Vernie Mills

Vernie Louise Pinion Mills, age 80 of 1317 Lowder St, Albemarle, NC 28001, passed away on April 21, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. She was born in Stanly County on April 23, 1929. Vernie was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Mills; parents, Alma Nola Campbell Pinion and Ernest Arnette Pinion; brothers, Ernest Pinion, Jr.; sisters, Alma (Tiny) Walker and Janet Fay; grandchildren, Earl Ray Pittman, Jr. and Brandi Elaine Mills. She was retired from Allison Mfg. and a member of Anderson Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Paul Stephen Mills of Albemarle, Matthew Mark Mills of Albemarle; daughters, Lou Archer of Albemarle, Judy Smith of Richfield, Mary Daniels of Lexington, Barbara Davis of Troy, Linda Crisco of Locust, Kathy Tucker of New London, Tammy Deaton of Mt. Gilead, Susan Mauney of Mt. Pleasant, Kelly Speights of Concord, 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brother, Bobby Pinion of Fayetteville; sister, Frances Hatley of Albemarle. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 06:00 PM 08:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. Funeral service will held on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, 522 N. 2nd Albemarle NC. with the minister Rev. Ron Honeycutt officiating.
