Viola Truette

Viola Hudson Baker Truette, 90 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Mrs. Truette was born May 9, 1926 to the late William Henry and Gertie Louise Hudson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Lucius Baker, Sr., second husband, Whitman Samuel Truette; daughter, Diane Baker Ramseur; sister, Pauline Still; brothers, Grady W. Hudson, Harold Hudson, and Billy Joe Hudson. Viola was a graduate of Albemarle High School and a previous member of North Albemarle Baptist Church.

The memorial service will be on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 3:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Ray Sipe.

Survivors include: sons, William Lucius Baker, Jr and wife Marsha. of Lancaster, SC, Stuart Daniel Baker of Albemarle; son-in-law, Tom Ramseur (husband of Diane Baker Ramseur); 5 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren
