Violet Hinson

Violet Kathleen Tucker Hinson, age 86 of Oakboro, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at her home. The family will receive friends at Red Cross Baptist Church on Friday, September 28 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Josh Fraley and Rev. Garry Baker. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Mrs. Hinson was born in Stanly County on April 20, 1926 to the late Millard Tucker and the late Minnie Burris Tucker. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, J.D. Hinson, of the home; one son, Mike Hinson (Mary Ellen Harris) of Oakboro; one daughter, June Winfree (Michael) of Clayton; one brother, Tommy Tucker (Penny) of Oakboro; three sisters, Hazel Helms of Oakboro, Christine McCall of Oakboro and Carrie Walker of Kannapolis; and two grandchildren Aaron Winfree and Amber Morzella. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Hinson family.
