Virgie Goode

Virgie Lee Hatley Goode, age 91, of Concord, NC passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at CMC-Northeast. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord from 12 PM to 1:30 PM. The funeral service will follow at Branchview First Church of God at 2 PM, with Rev. Larry McCaw officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. At other times, the family will meet at the home of her daughter, Vickie Culp, 3513 Cedar Springs Drive Southwest in Concord. Mrs. Goode was born on July 6, 1921 to the late Daniel Webster Hatley and the late Annie Mae Sides Hatley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Baxter Goode; son, Robert A. Goode; two brothers; and a sister. She is survived by her son, Terry Goode of Concord; her daughters, Linda Hanks and husband William C. Hanks, Jr. of Raleigh, Vickie Culp of Concord; grandchildren, William Christopher Hanks, Bradley Baxter Hanks, Heath J. Culp, Amber Goode, and Chris Goode; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Oaks at Town Center for their love and care of their mother.
