Virginia Barbee

Virginia Tucker Barbee, 85 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at Spring Arbor of Albemarle.
Mrs. Barbee was born May 5, 1932 in Stanly County to the late James Arthur Tucker and the late Vinna Osborne Tucker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby McClain Barbee; two brothers and six sisters.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Providence Church of God at 12474 NC Hwy 24-27 in Locust officiated by Rev. Jerry Ingle. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all.
Survivors include daughter, Sherry (James) Potts of New London; sons, Steve (Deborah) Barbee of Monroe and Eddie (Kim) Barbee of Oakboro; grandchildren, Shelli Hefner, Lance Barbee, Chandler Potts, Cameron Potts, Caleb Potts, Jennifer Robinson, Mary Lindsey Rowell, and Natalie Peroyea; great grandchildren, Jamie, Makenzye, Will, Kannon, Korben, Ryker, Rhett, Case and Olivia; and sister, Gladys Treece.
