Virginia Rebecca "Nana" Montieth Clontz, 77, of 99 Meadow Ave., Concord, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at CMC-Northeast.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 1, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Brian Rabon and the Rev. Larry Metz officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
Mrs. Clontz was born December 29, 1932, in Salisbury, to the late Graham Alexander Montieth and the late Lillie Ruth Parker Montieth. She was a homemaker and a member of Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Concord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Brooks.
She is survived by her husband, James H. Clontz, of the home; daughter, Connie Smith and husband, James, of Dillon, SC; daughter, Vickie Lapish and husband, Tony, of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Debbie Castor and husband, Jerry, of Salisbury; daughter, Camilla Morton and husband, Donald, of Kannapolis; grandson, Dale Castor and wife, Mandy, of Concord; sister, Helen Nichols, of Rockwell; son-in-law, Leroy Brooks, of Concord; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
