Virginia "Ginger" Henry, 89 years of age, of Flat Rock, formerly of Locust, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Hendersonville Health & Rehabilitation Center in Flat Rock.
Ginger was born November 14, 1924 in Oregon to the late Thomas Robert Loop and Lillian Loop.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984, Harold "Hank" Robert Henry, and her daughter in 1988, Donna Jean Henry.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday October 29, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Love's Chapel United Methodist Church in Stanfield. Burial will be in the church cemetery with a visitation to follow in the church.
Survivors include son, Gary (Marleen) Henry of Matthews; daughter, Darlene (Brian) Tribby of Hendersonville; and grandson, Nathan Tucker of Charlotte.
Ginger was a member of Love's Chapel United Methodist Church and was the church organist for over 30 years. She was the bookstore manager at Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia and also worked at Monarch Color in Charlotte.
