Virginia Furr

Virginia Kathleen Furr, 75, of Concord, NC went to be with the Lord on May 8th, 2019.

Ms. Furr was born on June 29, 1943 in Jackson County, NC to the late Beulah Ella Stephens Cope and the late Erastus Jackson Cope.  She is also proceeded in death by her husband James Ralph "Dude" Furr, her eldest son, Jimmy Wayne Helms, her sisters Serina Colleen Tolley, Norma Sue Pruitt and Elizabeth Ann Horne; her brothers Aubrey Allen "Buck" Cope, Jimmy Lee Cope, and Harvey Dale Cope.

She is survived by her sons, Micheal (Lee Ann) Helms of Mt. Pleasant, Timothy Dale Furr of the home, and a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Helms of Mocksville; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Barnhardt, David Helms, Darren (Mandoline) Helms, Chelsey Furr, Jonathan (Kayla) Furr, Matt (Leaah) Furr, and Kaylee Helms; seven great grandchildren, Hunter Barnhardt, Haleigh Barnhardt, Hannah Barnhardt, Dean Furr, Emery Furr,  Peytan Furr, and Kenzie Furr. Ms. Furr  also leaves behind her brothers, James Clarence "Pete"(Sharon) Cope of Great Falls, Montana, Darrell Ronald (Maria) Cope of Middletown, Connecticut, and William Gale (Sue )Cope of Knoxville,Tenn.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Monday, May 13, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev.Terry Smith of Smith's Grove Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

Very special thanks to the kind,loving,and caring grandkids David Helms and Kimberly Barnhardt, and special niece Donna Conner.

Pallbearers for Ms.Furr will be David Helms, Darren Helms, Matthew Furr, Jonathon Furr, Hunter Barnhardt, and James Revis.

Memorials may be made to the Levine Cancer Institute Advancement Fund.
