Virginia Mauldin

Virginia Ellen Council Mauldin age 77 of 4433 Stony Gap Rd, Albemarle, NC passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Anderson Place in Anderson, SC. She was born November 13, 1932 in Stanly County, NC to the late David James Council and Blanche Burdette Council. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dr. Joel Lee Mauldin, Sr. She is survived by her son Joel Mauldin and wife Dr. Rhonda Mauldin of Anderson, SC; daughter, Dr. Laura Mauldin and husband Dr. James Rokos of Albemarle; grandchildren, Michael Lawing, Lee Mauldin, Connor Rokos, Nicholas Rokos, Brittany, Tyler and Caitlyn Duncan; sisters, Toni Harrison of Badin, Midge Barnes of Albemarle, and Ruth Brown of OR. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. Funeral service will follw at 2:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Futterer will officiate. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens.
