Virginia Parker

Virginia was born November 19, 1921 in Monroe, NC to the late George Greene and Lilly Asbury Purser Greene. She was a Finisher at Cannon Mills in Concord. She was a longtime member and florist for Antioch Baptist Church. She was a dedicated caretaker of her parents and family. She was a wonderful cook who loved gardening, flowers, yard work and her cats. Her son Dennis was her heart. She is survived her her husband JB Parker, her son Dennis Parker of Polkton, NC and her nieces and nephew Phyllis, Rita, Gwendlyn, Lynell and Bobby. She is also preceded in death by three brothers Lawrence, P.O. and Onice Greene. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle on Sunday, September 20 from 6 - 8 PM. A graveside service will be Monday, September 21 at 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Riley and Pastor George Gouge officiating.
