Virginia Williams

Virginia Goers Williams, 67, of Polkton, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 at her home. She was born in Charlotte on April 30, 1946 to the late Nettie Goers. She was an amazing woman who answered to many names, but her favorites were that of Honey, Momma, Grandma and GeGe. She was loved and will always be missed. The family will gather with friends on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. She is survived by her: husband of 50 years, J. T. Williams of Burnsville; daughter, Barbara Morgan of Locust; son, Jimmy Williams and his wife Patty of Burnsville; grandchildren, Samantha Hatley of Ridgecrest; Shannon Burris and her husband Matt of Locust; Meghan Sears, Joey Sears, Justin Shorts, Jordan Williams, and Addison Reid Williams of Burnsville; great granddaughter, Layla Brooke Alonso; and sister, Shirley Biggerstaff and her husband Sammy.
