Wade Kennedy

Wade Olan Kennedy, 85, of 196 Briarwood Drive, Charleston, SC passed away on July 29, 2011 at Mt. Pleasant Hospice in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Saturday, July 30 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, July 31 at Mineral springs Baptist Church. Rev. Keith Walters will officiate. Mr. Kennedy was born in Stanly County, NC on June 9, 1926 to the late Audie and Hettie Kennedy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Scott Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Doris Austin Kennedy; son, Jim Kennedy and wife Linda of Charleston, SC; granddaughters, Sunni K. Caskey, Christy K. Cameron; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois Thomas of Oakboro.
