Walter Eury

Rev. Walter Claude Eury, 85, of China Grove passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Genesis Elder Care in Mooresville. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 1 until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm in the chapel, with Rev. Chris Pethel officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis with military honors conducted by the DAV. Mr. Eury was born on October 9, 1927 in Rowan County, to the late Leroy Eury and Grace Peacock Eury. He is survived by his son, Kelly Eury and wife Kristi of Mooresville; daughters, Rhonda Eudy and husband Robert of Mt. Pleasant, Lesa Andrews and husband Chip of Richmond, VA, and Amy Newsome of Concord; sister, Betty Jean Foley of Landis; his former wife, Margie Marlowe Eury of Concord; eleven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
