Walter Calvin Merritt, 87 years of age of Concord, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016.
Walter was born November 14, 1928 in Pensacola, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Overcash Merritt.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. Services will begin at 11:00 am in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jerry McCall officiating. Burial will follow at Cold Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Eloise Cope of Lexington; sister-in-law, Janet Jordon of Concord; and Angie Copeland, his loving caregiver, of Concord.
