Wanda Blankenship

Wanda Lee Blankenship, 83 years of age, of Locust, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.

Wanda was born January 16, 1934 in Gaston County, NC, to the late William Elliott and the late Gladys Elizabeth Curtis Elliott. She was also preceded in death by husband, Joe S. Blankenship; and son, Chip Blankenship.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, November 27, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The graveside service will be on Tuesday at 2:00pm at Sharon Memorial Park, at 5400 Monroe Road in Charlotte, and will be officiated by Pastor Gerald Baucom.

Survivors include son, Steve Blankenship of Locust; daughter, Cynthia (Vernon) Morton of Stanfield; sister, Lois Farmer of Greenville, SC; three grandchildren, Dana Morton, Kandace Tarlton, and Daniel Tarlton.
