Nita Josephine Elliott Reist, 75, of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Universal Healthcare. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 12 until 2 PM. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg. Nita was born on November 21, 1937 in Maryland, to the late Willmer Norman Elliott and Mary Adele Morgan Elliott. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter E. Reist, Sr., son Walter E. Reist, Jr., and a daughter, Vera Reist. She is survived by her daughters, Warnetta J. Litaker of Concord and Laura Dixon of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Maryann Murphy of MD and twin sister Geneva Harrison of Concord; brother, Norman Elliott of MD; and four grandchildren.
