Wayne Deas

Mr. Wayne Andre’ Deas, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at his home on Stonecrest Circle, Concord, NC. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Wednesday, October 26 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. At other times, the family will meet at his home. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, October 27 at the Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, officiated by Rev. Bo Treadaway. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park of Kannapolis. Mr. Deas was born in Concord, NC on January 8, 1940, to the late Jennings Theodore Deas and the late Minnie Arlene Taylor Deas. He is also preceded in death by sisters, Sharon, Marlene, and Barbara. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Gathings Deas, of the home; daughters, Angela Cheryl Huneycutt and husband Danny, Lori Ann Miller and husband Kenneth; sons, Brian Gathings and Kevin Gathings and wife, Pam; brother, Richard Deas and wife June; sisters, Saundra Smith and husband Ted, Frieda Almond and husband Dee, Sylvia Honeycutt, and Bonita Bloodworth and husband Bob; grandchildren, Ali, Shane, Venus, Taylor and husband, Aaron, Megan and husband Alex, Justin, Casey, Kayla, Ashley, Will, Tyler, Seth; great-grandchildren, Gradyn and Jonathan.
